I’m not completely sure of this collection this year. It’s really not something that I’ve come to expect of this. There were just so many colours and textures that I didn’t know where to look. I felt that there were just too many to take in.
Getting ready for the Collection to begin on the Runway. Models, makeup artists and hairdressers getting ready. I love these back stage shots. It show’s the chaos behind the scenes and how much work gets put in for such a short time on the runway. I love the details that hair and make up goes into for every show. Subtle differences from show to show. This year MAC was used for make up.

Finally! Our first Resort collection in Australia! This year Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Australia kicks of a little later in the year than normal. Which means that we are having our first ever Resort collection. Something that I’m super excited about. It’s something that I’ve been looking forward to ever since I heard about it.
I kick this years Fashion week off with Ginger & Smart show. The show used mirror stage that reflected the Resort collection. There were whites, aqua blues, blacks and nude shades. Big beach style hats paired with white lace swimmers. It’s both sexy and glamourous. This collection had a lot of light layers and a lot of lace integrated with the designs. And I absolutely loved it!

This collection was much more casual feel when the designer used sports shoes to dress down the outfits which looked wonderful together. Using black as a background, the orange exploding tie dye style pattern popped even more of the tops and skirts. There were some really nifty things that were added to the looks, like pockets. Now that’s something that I love about a lot of designers. Skirts and dress with deep pockets are a gods send to me!I loved the skirt with a zipper where you can change it from a tight pencil skirt to a skirt with a slit down the side.
