Atelier Versace Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 16’/17’

Watching this collection was like watching a flower bloom. I loved watching the fabric flow as the outfits walked down the runway. There was so much movement that you could focus on that brought out different aspects of the collection. Each outfit that come down the runway lead onto the next one weather it was a pop of colour, style or the strips of floral designs. It was so well constructed and thought out collection. One of my favourites of this collection was the swirls of patterns and the pops of colour on a black canvas. What did you like about this collection? images | Vogue

Christian Dior Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 16’/17’

I was kinda surprised that this collection wasn’t super over the top.I actually really liked this style of collection. Of course the roses that the brand is know for are featured across a few of the designs. What I noticed was that there wasn’t a lot of colour through the collection either which was interesting to see. But it was elegant, understated and beautiful. There were so many pieces that you could have mixed and matched with each other and still make each outfits look amazing. One of my favourite things about Dior is that their style and silhouette’s are always quite flattering and very dream like. images | Vogue…

    Schiaparelli Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 16’/17’

Beautiful collection full of colour and pizzaz! Golden gowns, ombre colours and animal patterns were all part of this collection. They sat side by side bringing out each other’s brighter sides. Gowns flowed like water with their brightly coloured nature patters fitted together with a golden leaf. A lot of this collection reminded me of how beautiful our nature is and how it surrounds us. Especially living in Australia, living in the city I sometimes forget this fact. I’m not one for huge flowers or anything too bright and this collection was a combination of both. But somehow I really liked it. images | Vogue XO Lisa

Armani Privé Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 16’/17’

Sleek beautiful silhouette’s came down the runway for the Haute Couture, this was just like Armani. There was so much embroadered onto tops, skirts and coats that was like stars in the night sky glittering on the outfits. This collection screamed of luxury and the finer things. Satin and silk scarves tied together in a neat bow across the shoulders, big and small bows were featured throughout in different shades of the fabrics of the dresses. The collection ended with pops of baby blue.   images | Vogue XO Lisa

Iris van Herpen Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 16’/17’

This collection is not only beautiful but it was a feast on the eyes as well. It was like looking at an illusionist with the patterns that the dresses made. Blacks, white, beige and different shades of brown made up the collection. The golden bowls that made up parts of the runway enhanced all the looks throughout the collection. These designs reminded me of the butterfly finger paintings that I use to do as children where each half replicated each other. Beautiful patterns made from the simplest designs. As part of this unique collection were the unique shoes, fringe and barely there makeup. images | Vogue XO Lisa

    J Mendel Haute Couture Autumn/Winter ’16/’17

Beautiful furs in black, white, deep browns with golden sheens. Off the shoulder gowns, golden embellishments, sheer overlay skirts, fur wraps and dresses. The collection was so regal in their black, gold’s, warm browns, whites and pops of bright yellows. Along with the different types of furs this collection gave off such a warm and welcoming vibe. It was elegant, graceful and all round beautiful. There were some beautifully weaved fabrics that made the pattern of the gowns that flowed into the skirts. With almost nude makeup the collection tied together so nicely. images | Vogue XO Lisa

Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 16’/17’

Zuhair Murad brings to the runway an opulant and elegant collection. A collection full of intricate embroidery and precious appliqués, contrasted with sheer overlays and skirts. A collection of short, mid and floor length dresses that had flowers and vines flowing up and down the bodice, skirt and arms. Jewel coloured tones paired with shimmering ruffles with gold and silver threads. Beautifully crafted gowns flowed from day-time looks right into the evening. This is the type of collection that I absolutely love and dreamed of wearing as a little girl and even now. I can’t even put into words on how much I fell in love with this collection. images…

    Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn/Winter 16’/17’

Beautifully crafted outfits that just kept surprising me over and over again. I love the theatrics of Jean Paul Gaultier’s designs and with each season I’m alway more in love with his artistic eye. Beautiful warm autumn colours were all displayed throughout this collection and I just couldn’t get enough of it. But there was also a nomatic feeling towards the designs with the fur coats and backpacks. Autumn was clearly displayed throughout this collection, not only through the colours but through the intricate patterns and textures. The use of autumn coloured leaves sewn on as a vest, flowing gowns that billowed around the legs of the models as they…

Elie Saab Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 16’/17’

Elie Saab has always been one of my favourite designers and it’s a pleasure to see their new Haute Couture collection again. This beautiful collection was full of delicate floral beading, velvet floor length gowns, chiffon and feather overlays that could have made any little girls dream come true. I especially loved the mother and daughter looks which were super adorable. Each of the designs was beautifully crafted like pieces of living art coming down the runway. Ranging from deep hues of purples and blues it gravitated to a lighter blush palette towards the end. Accents of gold and silver lightened the designs as well as making the intricate patterns…

    Margiela Haute Couture Autumn/Winter ’16/’17

Bright and sunny was my very first thought what I saw this collection. Slowly that notion had turned to how unique and interesting this collection was with the clear plastic, oversized coats tied together at the waist, pops of contrasting colours at the collar, and large interesting hearts with their bright eye makeup and darkened lipsticks. What did you like about the collection? Let me know below. images | Vogue XO Lisa

    Valentino Haute Couture Autumn/Winter ’16/’17

Loved the structure and silhouette’s for this collection. A lot of this collection reminded me of the shakespearean era of clothing with their high necks and rich fabrics. Leathers, furs and velvets littered throughout the collection weaving their magic into the designs. Exuberance of luxuries ran through this series just like everything of Valentino’s. They’re beautiful, meticulous, intricate and flattering. Did you have a favourite look? images | Vogue XO Lisa
