Double Rainbouu’s ‘Synth UUave’ Resort 2019 collection was held at The Lansdowne Hotel this year. The collection, dubbed Synth UUave, took its cues from both the idea of a ‘synthetic beach’ and the post-punk and New Wave musical predilections of its ex-Ksubi designers Toby Jones and Mikey Nolan. Slogans of EZ, Synthetic, out and UV we’re plastered on the front of the tops and jumpers.
Psychedelic patterns in bold colours of blue, red, yellow, black and white. The show was a much more relaxed chilled atmosphere with more of a hip-hop vibe than some of the other show’s that I’ve been to this week. The carpet was a bright purple that reflected the energy of the collection. This had definitely got a beach vibe to the looks of shorts, bikini’s and loosely fitted tops.
