Dracula builds a resort in Transylvania, hidden from humans, to raise his beloved daughter after his wife passes away from actions of humans. Now Transylvania has become a vacation spot where monsters bring their families to get away from the scary humans. As the party begins, the 21 year-old Jonathan crashes. He’s lost in the woods and comes upon the hotel. Dracula sees Jonathan and disguises him so that his daughter never meets a human. Soon enough Mavis, Dracula’s daughter meets Jonathan and believes that he’s the ‘zing’ that she’s missing.
I watched this with a group of girlfriends and tons of junk food. This was a fantastic movie for a night in with the girls. It was fun and hilarious at the same time. The storyline was simple and predictable but the characters were what made this movie great. It was relaxing night in movie! The monsters were so endearing each in their own way to Mavis and it really showed throughout the movie. I would recommend this for those nights in and it’s a good alternative to Disney movies.
