Can An Improper Proposal
Adam Greyhawke is through with marriage. After losing his wife at a young age, he’s more interested in carousing and gambling at the Heirs’ Club than taking another trip to the altar. When his obligations as the Earl of Greyhawke thrust him into the heart of Society, he dreads the boredom that only a ballroom can inspire in a roguish scoundrel. That is, until he meets a bewitching young woman who captures his curiosity—and reminds him just how delicious desire can be.
Lead To True And Lasting Passion?
Miss Katharine Wright is accustomed to men interested only in her generous dowry. Adam’s attraction is far more powerful—he tests her wits and her courage at every turn, until she finds herself longing to fulfill an everlasting passion she never imagined was possible. But the breathtakingly handsome nobleman is as stubborn as he is scandalous, and Katharine must be the one to convince him that real love is worth any risk…
“You said you were going to do this. So do it.”
After finishing the first book I just knew that I had to get my hands on the second book. It’s one of my go to stories when I’m looking for something to read and know that I’ll enjoy. Anne Calhoun is a wonderfully talented writer who can pack in some amazing stuff in such a short book. I loved reading about Erin and Jack’s story. Jack is back from his last tour and is being treated for PTSD. He meets the buttoned down librarian Erin who is looking to experience life after her divorce. She’s got a list that she wants to tick off starting off with buying a motorcycle, sky diving and then finally entering the dating scene. This is when Jack comes into her life; their chemistry is of the charts when they come together. I found it fantastic that the author was able to condense the entire relationship in such a short book. But when I was reading it didn’t feel short at all. The book was drama free, sexy as hell epic romance book. This instalment was adrenalin charged with skydiving, motorcycles and hot steamy sex. What else would you need? I can’t wait to read more of Anne’s books!
