“ARC given for an honest review”
The only commitment Saxby Cole has ever made is to the SEALs. He follows a long line of Southern charmers who swear monogamy isn’t in their blood. He’s never met a woman who made him want to swear his allegiance—until, while undercover for a Justiss Alliance assignment, he finds a woman who makes him think twice.
When Jennessy Shaw’s boyfriend dumps her right before their vacation to a hedonistic Caribbean resort, she goes without him to explore her wild side. Throwing caution to the wind, she propositions Saxby—only to suffer his gentle rejection.
When she wakes in Saxby’s room with no memory of the night before, Jennessy discovers his real purpose: to sniff out an operation where women like her are drugged and prostituted to resort guests. She goes from victim to his investigative partner . . . but getting too close to the sexier-than-sin Saxby may be her wildest move yet.
Saxby Cole fired the last round in his magazine, released it, and cleared the gun.
This is the third book in the Justiss Alliance Series. I was a little concerned that I hadn’t read the first two books but that concern was squashed once I began reading. This book can be read as a stand-alone. The novel was well written and the story was well developed. The characters had fantastic chemistry together the minute they met. There was a perfect combination of romance and action that just grabs a hold of you until it’s finished.
I really enjoyed a strong female character in Jennessy and still was able to see her learn something about herself along the way. And of course I loved Saxby, a Navy SEALs, all round sexy playboy who doesn’t want to hurt women so he’s very up front about what he wants. Jennessey and Sax has sexual tension off the charts since from the beginning of the book. And watching them go through that was amazing. Tina Wainscott did a wonderful job in keeping the characters apart yet together throughout the whole book. I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the books in this series.
